Veteran Recruiting for Iowa State Patrol

All, Trooper Beck wanted all of us to know that the new academy class would begin in May, 2017. If you’re interested in law enforcement and meet the qualifications, please take a look at the email she sent.

My name is Trooper Michelle Beck with the Iowa State Patrol. I reached out to all of you last year about recruiting Veterans for our Department. I am pleased to share that we will be running an academy in May of 2017. Applications are now being accepted, and testing begins in December. I have included some links for anyone interested. I would ask that you share this information with anyone you know, who may be interested in a career in law enforcement.

As a USMC Veteran, I value the skills and training that military personnel receive. It was a very smooth transition from the military, to a career in law enforcement, and many traits and values were instilled in us that aid in the ability for us to do this job, and do it well! The Department of Public Safety is a great place to work, and I encourage you to push out this information. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to e-mail me. Thank you for your time, and for what you do on a daily basis.
