His early life spent in Waverly, and graduated from Waverly High School in the class of 1913. He took up medicine at the University of Ill. and became a doctor. He enlisted from Chicago when taking internwork on Dec. 18, 1917 and was discharged on Jan. 1, 15, 1918 and reenlisted in Med. Reserve Corps on Jan. 1, 1918 and discharged Dec. 15, 1919. Later called into service and was in service from 1920 at Navy Govt. Hospitals including Augusta, Ga. Fla. Knoxville, Ia. and Tacoma, Wash. where he died from Army service on March 2, 1940. His body cremated and the ashes brought by is wife to Waverly, for burial besides his parents in Harlington Cemetery. He served as a Pryist Analyist at Knoxville, Hospital.
