He came to New york State about 1860 to Plattsburg NY he enlisted in Co. H 3 NY Cav and served during the last 10 months of the war. He was first married to mary Stone 8-7-1865 at Plattsburg, NY who bore him 8 children. they came to Waterloo Ia shortly after the civil war out soon shifted to Janesville 1866 in Bremer Co and then to Waverly. The first wife and 5 daughters were deceased pevious to Mr. B. the mother died at Waverly 1-30-1911. Mr. Boveia again went to Plattsburg where he married a former acquaintance Mrs. Etta Jelley on 7-31-1911 and coming back to Waverly they lived here until the death of the father 4-2-1922 when the widow returned to the state of her childhood. Mr. B. lived continously in Bremer county from 1866 to 1922.
