Det. 640 Demob Groupe Born in Waverly Ia. and raised here as a boy the family moved to a homestead to Valetine Nebr. About the year 1896 the father Sameul Hursh was a soldier of the Civil War. In Co. G-8 Ia. Cav. and was wounded at Florence Ala. Oct [??] 1864. Returning th Waverly he made his home married Martha Kiug and to them were born Clayton Will Ernest Pearl (Mrs Rees) and Elizibeth (Mrs Musser.) All living at Crroks Ton Nebr. As well as his ton Arthur L of this review. Art as he was known saw heavy service in the World War and came out shell shoked. In 1925 he suffered a stroke of paralysis and his immidiate cause of death was flu. The body being brought to the old home Waverly Ia. for burial. the aged mother survived. The father was buried in Nebr. but when he mother passes both will be bought to Waverly for burial. The mother died in Nebr. in 1934 age 90 and her boyd as well as that of her husbands was returned to Waverly for burial beside the son in Harlington Cemetery at Waverly.
