Applicant must possess excellent customer relation skills and be an effective communicator; must be able to maintain composure and interact with the public under stressful and interruptive situations. Applicant must be committed to providing quality customer service by working and communicating with customers to meet their needs in a polite, courteous, and cooperative manner. Must be detail oriented with the ability to organize, prioritize, multi-task and work independently.
Applicant must be able to learn and retain the numerous laws, regulations, and special procedures involved in processing property taxes, assessments and taxation, motor vehicle titles, registrations, and various official documents in an accurate and timely manner. Have the ability to collect the appropriate fees; process confidential information with tact and discretion; and acquire a working knowledge of driver’s license issuance.
Applicant must have a high school diploma or equivalent; proficiency in Windows based applications, including Microsoft Word and Excel; data entry; and operating office equipment, with advanced work experience or education in accounting including accounts receivable and general ledger. Must have experience with cash handling.
Some heavy lifting is required.
